https://www.dritz.com/sites/default/files/tutorials/espadrilles-adult-pattern-english.pdf  - and I had to print as poster and piece together
And for kids:  https://www.dritz.com/sites/default/files/tutorials/espadrilles-kids-pattern-english.pdf

You can buy the soles on Amazon - http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=dritz+espadrilles&tag=googhydr-20&index=arts-crafts&hvadid=77884950051&hvpos=1t1&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=5474465212884766872&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_8w2cv98iot_b

But on these I'm just using a flip flop.  A regular needle will go through the rubber.  You just have to wear a thimble and two rubber finger grips to grab the needle.

I'm putting shoe inserts inside. I am trying to sew these with embroidery thread (6 strand), but it isn't working so well.  I need upholstery thread or two layers of buttonhole thread.

But I see red polka dots and navy stripes this summer!
