Dieting?

Get your exercise and make your own. I'm sure it uses up a bit of calories.

Fringe Finale

This was made with Valeria di Roma Australia that I purchased from Knitwerx (the wonderful gift photo'd earlier) and size 9 needles with a Drops pattern. I bought eight skeins and it only took six. Now what to do with the leftovers?? I have about 240 yards left. The stitches are so large, if you wear white under it, it'll show through a bit. I'm still debating on the closure in front.

And here's an update with my body in it.

Corkscrew Scarf

It's basically Abi's fault that I took precious time away from Fringe to make this scarf. There I was working away on Fringe and I got to the short rows on the left front. There seemed to be holes, and I was trying to learn which way to wrap the stitches to avoid them. Well, Abi, my well-meaning friend, referred me to Nona Knits tips. That's where I got caught up on her little segment of casting on 40 stitches, KPK into each stitch, and do a purl castoff and see what you get. Well, I kind of liked it! Then one thing led to another and voila! Kelli's scarf. Not much done on Fringe though!

Ballet Wrap all wrapped up!

YAY! I finished it and I think it's beautiful and I'm so excited! Wish it were for me and that I was young enough to wear it and that I had the body to go in it! Total cost about $6! Finished in just over a week. Now I can start on something for me!

Knitting Revelations

I've been knitting for a little over a year now. Things that I just got a grasp on - edge stitches and how to slip the right way (see KellyK's comment here), edges and a diamond shape lace pattern and what to do with them, understanding directional increases and decreases, and how much I really do like charts.

Everyone has a denseness when it comes to something - well, those were some of mine.

Rain for the Rose Bowl

NOTHING would make me want to endure sitting out there for the parade. Are those folks nuts??

I'd rather stay home where it's warm, dry, and KNIT. Here's an update on the Ballet Wrap - not bad for not knowing what I'm doing. Learned a lot on this and need some practice in lace patterns. Crocheted around the neck and front edges and crocheted the tie. First time for that too and I liked it! Just have the sleeves to go!
